Importance of cleaning (primary cleaning) before disinfection and sterilization

* Primary cleaning = In order to effectively disinfect and sterilize reusable instruments after use, remove organic substances such as proteins derived from living organisms in advance.

Mechanism of action of enzyme-based cleaning agents

Biogenic high molecular weight proteins attached to instruments after use are "hydrophobic".

The proteolytic enzyme cuts the arms of the high molecular weight protein chain and breaks it down into hydrophilic low molecular weight proteins, enabling removal by gentle running water that does not cause water splashing.
